    ثُمَّ قِيلَ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ ذُوقُواْ عَذَابَ ٱلۡخُلۡدِ هَلۡ تُجۡزَوۡنَ إِلَّا بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَكۡسِبُونَ
    Then will it be said unto those who dealt unjustly Taste the torment of eternity. Are ye requited aught save what ye used to earn?
    In context

    Then when they have been made to enter the punishment and they will seek to be removed from it, it will be said to them: 'Taste the everlasting torment of the Hereafter. Are you not being repaid except for your disbelief and disobedience?

  2. فَوَسۡوَسَ إِلَيۡهِ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنُ قَالَ يَـٰٓـَٔادَمُ هَلۡ أَدُلُّكَ عَلَىٰ شَجَرَةِ ٱلۡخُلۡدِ وَمُلۡكٖ لَّا يَبۡلَىٰ
    But the devil whispered to him, saying: O Adam! Shall I show thee the tree of immortality and power that wasteth not away?
    In context

    But the satan whispered to Adam saying: “Shall I show you a tree that whoever eats from it will never die, but in fact remain forever, and possess an everlasting kingdom that will never break or end?”

  3. وَمَا جَعَلۡنَا لِبَشَرٖ مِّن قَبۡلِكَ ٱلۡخُلۡدَۖ أَفَإِيْن مِّتَّ فَهُمُ ٱلۡخَٰلِدُونَ
    We appointed immortality for no mortal before thee. What! if thou diest, can they be immortal!
    In context

    O Messenger, I have not given eternity in this life to any human before you. So if your life comes to an end in this life and you pass away, will they live forever after you? Never.

  4. قُلۡ أَذَٰلِكَ خَيۡرٌ أَمۡ جَنَّةُ ٱلۡخُلۡدِ ٱلَّتِي وُعِدَ ٱلۡمُتَّقُونَۚ كَانَتۡ لَهُمۡ جَزَآءٗ وَمَصِيرٗا
    Say: Is that (doom) better or the Garden of Immortality which is promised unto those who ward off (evil)? It will be their reward and journey's end.
    In context

    O Messenger! Say to them: “Is the aforementioned punishment described for you better, or the everlasting paradise with its eternal blessings that never finish? It is the very same one that Allah has promised His Allah-conscious servants as a reward and abode they will return to on the Day of Judgment.”

  5. يُضَٰعَفۡ لَهُ ٱلۡعَذَابُ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ وَيَخۡلُدۡ فِيهِۦ مُهَانًا
    The doom will be doubled for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein disdained for ever;
    In context

    The punishment will be doubled for him on the Day of Judgement, and he will remain in the punishment, disgraced and humiliated.

  6. وَتَتَّخِذُونَ مَصَانِعَ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَخۡلُدُونَ
    And seek ye out strongholds, that haply ye may last for ever?
    In context

    “And why do you build forts and palaces as if you were to live forever in this world, never to depart from it?”

  7. فَذُوقُواْ بِمَا نَسِيتُمۡ لِقَآءَ يَوۡمِكُمۡ هَٰذَآ إِنَّا نَسِينَٰكُمۡۖ وَذُوقُواْ عَذَابَ ٱلۡخُلۡدِ بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ
    So taste (the evil of your deeds). Forasmuch as ye forgot the meeting of this your day, lo! We forget you. Taste the doom of immortality because of what ye used to do.
    In context

    And on the Day of Judgment it will be said to them in rebuke and censure, “Now taste the punishment due to your heedlesness of the meeting with Allah on the Day of Judgment for accountability in the worldly life, I shall leave you in the punishment without caring for how much you suffer from it.

  8. ذَٰلِكَ جَزَآءُ أَعۡدَآءِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلنَّارُۖ لَهُمۡ فِيهَا دَارُ ٱلۡخُلۡدِ جَزَآءَۢ بِمَا كَانُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا يَجۡحَدُونَ
    That is the reward of Allah's enemies: the Fire. Therein is their immortal home, payment forasmuch as they denied Our revelations.
    In context

    That aforementioned requital is the requital of those who disbelieved in Him and rejected His messengers; it is the hellfire which they will live forever never to come out of it. It is a requital for their rejection of the verses of Allah and not believing in them despite their clarity and strength in proof.

  9. لَا يُفَتَّرُ عَنۡهُمۡ وَهُمۡ فِيهِ مُبۡلِسُونَ
    It is not relaxed for them, and they despair therein.
    In context

    The punishment will not be lessened for them. They will lose all hope in the mercy of Allah in it.

  10. ٱدۡخُلُوهَا بِسَلَٰمٖۖ ذَٰلِكَ يَوۡمُ ٱلۡخُلُودِ
    Enter it in peace. This is the day of immortality.
    In context

    Enter it in peace. This is the Day of Eternity.” It will be said to them: “Enter into Paradise in total safety from everything you dislike. It is a day of eternity, one which is everlasting.”

  11. يَطُوفُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وِلۡدَٰنٞ مُّخَلَّدُونَ
    There wait on them immortal youths
    In context

    Children who will never face old age or extinction will roam around them, to serve them.

  12. ۞وَيَطُوفُ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وِلۡدَٰنٞ مُّخَلَّدُونَ إِذَا رَأَيۡتَهُمۡ حَسِبۡتَهُمۡ لُؤۡلُؤٗا مَّنثُورٗا
    There wait on them immortal youths, whom, when thou seest, thou wouldst take for scattered pearls.
    In context

    And youthful children will roam around them in Paradise. When you see them you will think of them to be scattered pearls, because of the freshness in their faces, their beautiful complexions, their number and their distinction.
