Chapter 78 • 40 Verses

عَمَّ يَتَسَآءَلُونَConcerning what are they disputing?×
-
عَنِ ٱلنَّبَإِ ٱلۡعَظِيمِConcerning the Great News,×
-
ٱلَّذِي هُمۡ فِيهِ مُخۡتَلِفُونَAbout which they cannot agree.×
-
كَلَّا سَيَعۡلَمُونَVerily, they shall soon (come to) know!×
-
ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَيَعۡلَمُونَVerily, verily they shall soon (come to) know!×
-
أَلَمۡ نَجۡعَلِ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ مِهَٰدٗاHave We not made the earth as a wide expanse,×
-
وَٱلۡجِبَالَ أَوۡتَادٗاAnd the mountains as pegs?×
-
وَخَلَقۡنَٰكُمۡ أَزۡوَٰجٗاAnd (have We not) created you in pairs,×
-
وَجَعَلۡنَا نَوۡمَكُمۡ سُبَاتٗاAnd made your sleep for rest,×
-
وَجَعَلۡنَا ٱلَّيۡلَ لِبَاسٗاAnd made the night as a covering,×
-
وَجَعَلۡنَا ٱلنَّهَارَ مَعَاشٗاAnd made the day as a means of subsistence?×
-
وَبَنَيۡنَا فَوۡقَكُمۡ سَبۡعٗا شِدَادٗاAnd (have We not) built over you the seven firmaments,×
-
وَجَعَلۡنَا سِرَاجٗا وَهَّاجٗاAnd placed (therein) a Light of Splendour?×
-
وَأَنزَلۡنَا مِنَ ٱلۡمُعۡصِرَٰتِ مَآءٗ ثَجَّاجٗاAnd do We not send down from the clouds water in abundance,×
-
لِّنُخۡرِجَ بِهِۦ حَبّٗا وَنَبَاتٗاThat We may produce therewith corn and vegetables,×
-
وَجَنَّـٰتٍ أَلۡفَافًاAnd gardens of luxurious growth?×
-
إِنَّ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡفَصۡلِ كَانَ مِيقَٰتٗاVerily the Day of Sorting out is a thing appointed,×
-
يَوۡمَ يُنفَخُ فِي ٱلصُّورِ فَتَأۡتُونَ أَفۡوَاجٗاThe Day that the Trumpet shall be sounded, and ye shall come forth in crowds;×
-
وَفُتِحَتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتۡ أَبۡوَٰبٗاAnd the heavens shall be opened as if there were doors,×
-
وَسُيِّرَتِ ٱلۡجِبَالُ فَكَانَتۡ سَرَابًاAnd the mountains shall vanish, as if they were a mirage.×
-
إِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ كَانَتۡ مِرۡصَادٗاTruly Hell is as a place of ambush,×
-
لِّلطَّـٰغِينَ مَـَٔابٗاFor the transgressors a place of destination:×
-
لَّـٰبِثِينَ فِيهَآ أَحۡقَابٗاThey will dwell therein for ages.×
-
لَّا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا بَرۡدٗا وَلَا شَرَابًاNothing cool shall they taste therein, nor any drink,×
-
إِلَّا حَمِيمٗا وَغَسَّاقٗاSave a boiling fluid and a fluid, dark, murky, intensely cold,×
-
جَزَآءٗ وِفَاقًاA fitting recompense (for them).×
-
إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ لَا يَرۡجُونَ حِسَابٗاFor that they used not to fear any account (for their deeds),×
-
وَكَذَّبُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا كِذَّابٗاBut they (impudently) treated Our Signs as false.×
-
وَكُلَّ شَيۡءٍ أَحۡصَيۡنَٰهُ كِتَٰبٗاAnd all things have We preserved on record.×
-
فَذُوقُواْ فَلَن نَّزِيدَكُمۡ إِلَّا عَذَابًا“So taste ye (the fruits of your deeds); for no increase shall We grant you, except in Punishment.”×
-
إِنَّ لِلۡمُتَّقِينَ مَفَازًاVerily for the Righteous there will be a fulfilment of (the heart’s) desires;×
-
حَدَآئِقَ وَأَعۡنَٰبٗاGardens enclosed, and grapevines;×
-
وَكَوَاعِبَ أَتۡرَابٗاAnd voluptuous women of equal age;×
-
وَكَأۡسٗا دِهَاقٗاAnd a cup full (to the brim).×
-
لَّا يَسۡمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغۡوٗا وَلَا كِذَّـٰبٗاNo vanity shall they hear therein, nor Untruth:-×
-
جَزَآءٗ مِّن رَّبِّكَ عَطَآءً حِسَابٗاRecompense from thy Lord, a gift, (amply) sufficient,×
-
رَّبِّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا بَيۡنَهُمَا ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِۖ لَا يَمۡلِكُونَ مِنۡهُ خِطَابٗا(From) the Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all between, (Allah) Most Gracious: None shall have power to argue with Him.×
-
يَوۡمَ يَقُومُ ٱلرُّوحُ وَٱلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ صَفّٗاۖ لَّا يَتَكَلَّمُونَ إِلَّا مَنۡ أَذِنَ لَهُ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ وَقَالَ صَوَابٗاThe Day that the Spirit and the angels will stand forth in ranks, none shall speak except any who is permitted by (Allah) Most Gracious, and He will say what is right.×
-
ذَٰلِكَ ٱلۡيَوۡمُ ٱلۡحَقُّۖ فَمَن شَآءَ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ مَـَٔابًاThat Day will be the sure Reality: Therefore, whoso will, let him take a (straight) return to his Lord!×
-
إِنَّآ أَنذَرۡنَٰكُمۡ عَذَابٗا قَرِيبٗا يَوۡمَ يَنظُرُ ٱلۡمَرۡءُ مَا قَدَّمَتۡ يَدَاهُ وَيَقُولُ ٱلۡكَافِرُ يَٰلَيۡتَنِي كُنتُ تُرَٰبَۢاVerily, We have warned you of a Penalty near, the Day when man will see (the deeds) which his hands have sent forth, and the Unbeliever will say, “Woe unto me! Would that I were (metre) dust!”×
Main Message of Al Naba Surah
