About Surah Al-Kafirun
Al-Kafirun was revealed in response to an offer from Meccan leaders proposing a compromise in which Muhammad would worship their gods for a period in exchange for them worshiping his God for a period. The surah firmly rejects any such blending of beliefs, closing with the well-known declaration: "For you is your religion, and for me is mine" — a clear statement of peaceful coexistence without doctrinal compromise.
بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

قُلۡ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ
Qul yaa-ai yuhal kaafiroon
Say: O disbelievers!
Tafseer
2
لَآ أَعۡبُدُ مَا تَعۡبُدُونَ
Laa a'budu ma t'abudoon
I worship not that which ye worship;
Tafseer
3
وَلَآ أَنتُمۡ عَٰبِدُونَ مَآ أَعۡبُدُ
Wa laa antum 'aabidoona maa a'bud
Nor worship ye that which I worship.
Tafseer
4
وَلَآ أَنَا۠ عَابِدٞ مَّا عَبَدتُّمۡ
Wa laa ana 'abidum maa 'abattum
And I shall not worship that which ye worship.

5
وَلَآ أَنتُمۡ عَٰبِدُونَ مَآ أَعۡبُدُ
Wa laa antum 'aabidoona ma a'bud
Nor will ye worship that which I worship.
Tafseer
6
لَكُمۡ دِينُكُمۡ وَلِيَ دِينِ
Lakum deenukum wa liya deen.
Unto you your religion, and unto me my religion.
