About Surah Al-Ikhlas Al-Ikhlas is one of the most concise and complete statements of Islamic monotheism in the entire Quran: God is One, the Eternal Refuge upon whom all depend, who neither begets nor is begotten, and to whom nothing is comparable. Despite its brevity, it's traditionally described as equal in merit to a third of the Quran due to how completely it captures the core of the Islamic concept of God.

قُلۡ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدٌ
Qul huwal laahu ahad
Say: He is Allah, the One!

ٱللَّهُ ٱلصَّمَدُ
Allah hus-samad
Allah, the eternally Besought of all!

لَمۡ يَلِدۡ وَلَمۡ يُولَدۡ
Lam yalid wa lam yoolad
He begetteth not nor was begotten.
4
وَلَمۡ يَكُن لَّهُۥ كُفُوًا أَحَدُۢ
Wa lam yakul-lahu kufuwan ahad
And there is none comparable unto Him.
