About Surah Quraysh
This short surah reflects on the safety and prosperity enjoyed by the Quraysh tribe of Mecca, particularly their secure trade caravans to Yemen in winter and to Syria in summer, made possible by the protection associated with the Kaaba. بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

لِإِيلَٰفِ قُرَيۡشٍ
Li-ilaafi quraish
For the taming of Qureysh.
Tafseer
2
إِۦلَٰفِهِمۡ رِحۡلَةَ ٱلشِّتَآءِ وَٱلصَّيۡفِ
Elaafihim rihlatash shitaa-i wass saif
For their taming (We cause) the caravans to set forth in winter and summer.

3
فَلۡيَعۡبُدُواْ رَبَّ هَٰذَا ٱلۡبَيۡتِ
Fal y'abudu rabba haazal-bait
So let them worship the Lord of this House,

4
ٱلَّذِيٓ أَطۡعَمَهُم مِّن جُوعٖ وَءَامَنَهُم مِّنۡ خَوۡفِۭ
Allazi at'amahum min ju'inw-wa-aamana hum min khawf
Who hath fed them against hunger and hath made them safe from fear.
