About Surah Al-Qadr
A short but highly significant surah, Al-Qadr describes the Night of Decree (Laylat al-Qadr) — the night the Quran began to be revealed — as better than a thousand months, a night when angels and the Spirit descend with permission from their Lord for every matter, bringing peace until the break of dawn. It's closely associated with the last ten nights of Ramadan, particularly the odd-numbered ones, and is considered one of the most spiritually significant nights in the Islamic calendar.
بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

إِنَّآ أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ فِي لَيۡلَةِ ٱلۡقَدۡرِ
Innaa anzalnaahu fee lailatil qadr
Lo! We revealed it on the Night of Predestination.
Tafseer
2
وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا لَيۡلَةُ ٱلۡقَدۡرِ
Wa maa adraaka ma lailatul qadr
Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Night of Power is!
Tafseer
3
لَيۡلَةُ ٱلۡقَدۡرِ خَيۡرٞ مِّنۡ أَلۡفِ شَهۡرٖ
Lailatul qadri khairum min alfee shahr
The Night of Power is better than a thousand months.
Tafseer
4
تَنَزَّلُ ٱلۡمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذۡنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمۡرٖ
Tanaz zalul malaa-ikatu war roohu feeha bi izni-rab bihim min kulli amr
The angels and the Spirit descend therein, by the permission of their Lord, with all decrees.

5
سَلَٰمٌ هِيَ حَتَّىٰ مَطۡلَعِ ٱلۡفَجۡرِ
Salaamun hiya hattaa mat la'il fajr
(The night is) Peace until the rising of the dawn.
