How to use multiple Skype accounts at the same time In Ubuntu ?

To be able to use two separate Skype accounts at the same time, without having to switch accounts by logging off and on again, just follow the following short steps :

1) Open your Skype application and sign in to your account .

2) Press Alt+F2 to and type in the below command :

skype –secondary

This will launch a new instance of Skype allowing to log in with the other user id.

Another alternative would be to use the terminal . Open it up and run the command below :

$ skype –secondary &

The ‘&’ will enable the program to run in background.

That’s all ! More than one user can log in to Skype simultaneously. For more on how to use Skype on Ubuntu , refer to the link : https://help.ubuntu.com/stable/ubuntu-help/net-chat-skype.html.en
