How to use multiple Skype accounts at the same time In Ubuntu

To be able to use two separate Skype accounts at the same time, without having to switch accounts by logging off and on again, just follow the following short steps :

1) Open your Skype application and sign in to your account .

2) Press Alt+F2 to and type in the below command :

skype –secondary

This will launch a new instance of Skype allowing to log in with the other user id.

Another alternative would be to use the terminal . Open it up and run the command below :

$ skype –secondary &.                      [skype Ubuntu commmand]

The ‘&’ will enable the program to run in background.
